Signal Behavioral Health Network is Colorado’s largest substance abuse Managed Services Organization (MSO)*,
contracting with 35 counties and 19 substance abuse treatment providers in the state. Signal is a
provider-owned, non-profit corporation dedicated to managing a network of providers of substance abuse
treatment services that is accessible to, affordable, and efficacious for consumers of these services.
Through effective management and coordination of services, Signal aims to increase efficiencies across
substance abuse service systems, to strengthen linkages between human services systems and providers,
and to more closely tailor services to the needs and strengths of consumers.
* Signal is not to be confused with a Managed Care Organization (MCO). To clarify the difference between
these two types of organizations, visit our article on the differences between an MSO and an MCO.
